The Historic Rockwell Museum was organized in 1996 by local citizens who volunteered time, labor, and money to preserve this important historic landmark. This building which once housed Rockwell's second Post Office has been restored as a museum to preserve and display the records, memorabilia, and artifacts of Rockwell's early years.
The Historic Rockwell Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt organization whose purpose is to preserve the history of the Rockwell Community and to interpret and present this legacy to the public. The museum seeks to fulfill its mission by collecting, researching, documenting, preserving, and exhibiting tangible objects that relate directly to the historic and social evolution of the Rockwell community. The museum, through its public exhibitions and programs seeks to provide opportunities for learning and enjoyment through effective use of ideas, concepts, and objects.
