Midnight Diner, Charlotte, NC

Open 24/7, Midnight Diner in Charlotte serves up pretty much anything you could possibly want to eat. Featuring Breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night selections, enjoy fried chicken, a bevy of egg dishes, pancakes, shrimp ‘n grits and more. Their pecan Belgian waffle is technically a breakfast dish, but goes down like a giant, rich dessert.

Jacktar & the Colonel’s Daughter, Durham, NC

Touting themselves as a restaurant and lounge, locals claim Jacktar & the Colonel’s Daughter is a diner through and through. Serving all-day breakfast, a fried North Carolina wild catfish plate, and some of the best macaroni & cheese north of Atlanta, you’ll find just about everything you could imagine eating on their menu. Known for the biggest biscuits around, they serve up favorites like Mexican eggs with potato pancakes, prime rib hash & eggs, buttermilk pancakes and more—and that’s just for breakfast.
