Independence Day Parade

Enjoy an old-fashioned, small-town parade. Help us celebrate our country's independence by viewing or participating in this totally free event with over 150 units in the parade including floats, music, marching units, church groups, civic organizations, scout troops, motorcycles, military units, horses, submarines, classic and antique cars, fire engines, beauty queens, re-enactment groups, politicians, WWII vehicles, trains, planes, and many more surprises. 2023 Grand Marshal: Purple Heart Homes and all veterans. We are proud to honor all veterans.

The following information is provided to assist you on the day of the parade:

1.  We ask that you be at the staging area located at the Career Academy & Technical School (CATS): Auto Tech entrance at 258 Murdock Road, no later than 10:00 am the morning of the event.

2.  Parade starts at 11:00 am

3.  The parade will travel on Old Murdock Road from CATS to Hwy 21/Main St, turn left, travel Main St, and end at the American Legion/ Troutman Elementary School area at Cedar Lane.

Handicapped Parking is available at Town Hall- 400 N. Eastway Dr.
