About Us
Our names are Randy and Kim Choate and we've been happily married for the past 13 years. Randy is a native to Alleghany County, NC, and I was born in Piedmont NC, My husband has been a Christmas tree farmer for over 30 years, perfecting his skills to satisfy many that come to our Choose-and-Cut section. I have worked as a librarian in both Mocksville Elementary School, NC and I am currently a part of Sparta Elementary School, NC.
Randy inherited the land that occupies our farm from his family which have owned it for countless years. In the past, I grew pumpkins around my house and occasionally entered them in contests. Although, when I met Randy, my life changed for the better and also my love for pumpkins and the fall spirit. I began farming pumpkins 12 years ago. All of my harvested goodies that we gathered were sold on the side of US HWY 21. This lasted five years before I declared a change. I've been around children my whole life and I find much enjoyment to see them experience the life around them; hence, creating the setup we have today.
The combination of Randy's farming skills and my social skills have truly benefited this farm to unlimited degrees. This year is our 8th annual season for the corn maze and pumpkin patch duo and 3rd annual for Christmas trees. We are so thankful for the support that our family members, friends and community has offered.
