I haven't been skating in years and decided to go with my partner. We went on a Saturday and had a great time! It was full with people of all ages, various skating levels, and everyone was getting along. They play mostly hip hop, r&b, and some old school which is right up my ally. My partner and I had so much fun we went back on Sunday to get some practice in as we are very rusty LOL and there was still a considerate number of people there. They must be doing something right. Some reviews say the staff can come off as lackluster, but they are mainly teenagers (besides management); come on what was your demeanor as a teenager? They are typical well mannered (have other stuff on their mind) teenagers. This establishment is very relaxed and down to earth so customers can enjoy their time and not feel micro-managed. I say this because if you are looking for a place that holds your hands every step of the way, this establishment may not fit your needs. My only suggestions are that upon entrance staff ask customers if this is their first time here and give them the run down. After putting on skates, we had to get a locker to place our shoes in. We had to go get change which was on the other side of the rink, again I have not gone skating in years so going to get change and come back was a little intimidating. Lastly, I don't know if they offer skating lessons, but that would be grand. I'd like to make this a part of my work out regimen! Good clean fun, great music, great atmosphere!
